Face-melting instrumental / post-rock act Laserfly is a Newtown based band with a full-length debut album released Via Bandcamp.com. From the cold and dark North of Germany, multi-instrumentalist and laser addicted scientist Carl Allan Peters moved to Australia to establish his new project 'Laserfly'. After almost 2 years writing and recordings his new songs, he started searching for a band. In Australia’s sizzling hot summer his strenuous efforts were rewarded, with the live band classified as complete. Laserfly creates unique soundscapes and atmospheres heavily influenced by post-rock bands such as Mogwai, Isis, Jakob, and Cult of Luna. While comfortably flying with the post-rock rocket towards new horizons forces also pull from instrumental hip-hop (Gramatik, Blockhead) and break beat/electronica (Bachelors of Science, Massive Attack).
