Bio

Laura Hyde, melts subdued electronic textures, sparse beats and infectious vocals and works it in a dark pop realm. Taking acoustic singer-songwriter styles and reimagining them through an electronic prism with quirky alt-pop sensibilities. Hailing from Northern Sydney, her bold and reflective songwriting navigates through personal lessons and human relationships that hit on an emotional and physical level.

It’s been an exciting last 2 years for Laura Hyde, touring with label mates Gold Member, The Moving Stills and The Vitriots on Sureshaker’s annual Shake N Bake Tour, supported BOO Seeka, performed at Bello Winter Music Fest and at Woodford Folk Festival, she’s also supported Canadian favourites The East Pointers on their national tour. Hyde has made waves around the country with her infectious personality, stunning vocal delivery and lyrically emotional songwriting.

Her Sophomore single ‘Secrets’ had been featured on Spotify Playlists, including: New Music Friday AU & NZ, Indie Arrivals, Front Left, Fresh Finds, The Office Stereo and more. ‘Bliss’ followed previous single success and then some. The single continued to build Hyde’s track record. Hitting Spotify and Apple Music Editorial Playlists, gaining more than 270k streams on DSPs.

Continuing to push parameters on her music and sound, Laura Hyde will be releasing more music in 2021.

The way you build tension and take it to crashing heights is superb.

Listening to this feels like you're on a rollercoaster that just keeps tracking up the rails, and the anticipation to get to the peak is almost killing you (in a good way). The pay off is that rush down with that break out moment of you belting it out. Such a powerful track!

The way that Laura builds the drama in this brooding new track is a thing to behold. It's goosebump worthy.
