Bio

Australian singer/songwriter Lawson Hull combines folk music and pop to create the dream-sound he’s known for.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Bon Iver to Bombay Bicycle Club, Lawson’s songs land in the sonic midst of many fellow Australian artists such as Kita Alexanda, Angus and Julia Stone and #1 Dads. His lyrics talk of breakdowns and confessionals with heart-breaking realisations.

Lawson made his way back to the listeners in late 2019 with his most popular single Paint, accruing one and a half million streams on Spotify alone. Radio giant Triple J and FBI radio also backed the track, airing it several times. The love it garnered inspired Lawson to remain on his musical pathway, helping him to write several more songs alongside producer Billy Otto (Dreams, Eyes Like Fire) with the intention of a debut EP for mid 2020.

And in just three minutes twenty one seconds you whisked us away to a quiet island paradise and brought us back again.

Thought 'Paint' was a great one from Lawson and on this new track he's breathing the same fine air. Classically made indie sound with a light tremble as things get emotional.

Nicking one of his lyrics, this makes me dream of a Sunday afternoon. What a wonderful cruise this track is.
