Artist:Lead Sketch Union

Lead Sketch Union is a Melbourne styled punk rock project. The bands members hail from groups both alive and dead, but groups who have each left a mark on Melbournes rock community. Bands such Away From Now, Walk The Earth, Blueline Medic and Caustic Soda. The Union recently formed in August 2006 on the half-volley of AFNs demise when Darren Gibson, AFNs riff writer and administrator, found himself with a swag of new ideas and no forum in which to express them. 'I just wanted to keep playing music. My previous band was breaking up and I had heaps of material that I wanted to try out. At the same time I was pretty keen to try something a little bit different. AFN was pretty fast and heavy, with Lead Sketch I was keen to maybe play with less gain and with more emphasis on rocking out'.
