Leadlight formed at the end of 2005 when four friends out of high school decided to join their musical talents together into a band. With plenty of experience playing together in various school events and competitions, the move seemed perfect and the band jammed constantly over the Christmas period. The period was rather successful and many new ideas and thoughts were thrown around as more and more songs were written. The band recorded their first original demo tracks in late February. The band also had more recording practice the next month, recording songs for a Brisbane writer. The bands first official gig was at QUT Kelvin Grove in April, and the band has a line up of gigs over the coming months. With the attention that the first demo recording brought, the band recorded another three songs. The band recently recorded four tracks at SAE studios in Byron Bay in the last weekend of July.
