“I don’t think Leroy is going to be just another ‘man with a guitar’ Australian export, and if you can catch him in a pub or club now, do it; he’s well worth his salt, and incredibly entertaining.” – Liz Elleson, THE AU REVIEW "A very good songwriter, dedicated to his craft...Leroy's the real deal" LIOR "I always enjoy hearing Leroy, he has a lovely voice and plays a mean guitar too." Jeff Lang "His songs are like thoughts scribbled in coffee shops. Which coincidentally is where I see him most in my neighborhood." Darren Hanlon

I've downloaded this song and listened to it a few times now. Each time I listen to it I get something new from it - there are so many layers of meaning in the lyrics, and it seems like Leroy Lee invites you to really dwell on the words and the story he tells. It's refreshing to have lyrics that reward you for paying close attention to them.

The guitar intro to 'Drawing Smoke' really pulls me in. Then the lyrics really keep the momentum going and by the end of the song you're hooked. Leroy Lee is now on high rotation in my house. Looking forward to hearing more from this artist in the future.

There are not many artists who appeal to men and women in equal measure, but I reckon Leroy Lee is one of them. At first blush the understated lyrics and production give the song an understated quality, but there is so much more going on in this song. Very sophisticated music from such a young man. I'm keen to see what he does in the future.
