Liaden Zane accidentally became a songwriter. One night when she was 16 and couldn't sleep, she decided to take out her phone and write some nonsense in the Notes app. A week later when she was playing guitar, she thought she'd play some chords along to that nonsense and her first song was born. From then, Liaden became completely entranced with the magic of songwriting. Her raw and poetic lyrics weave through folk-pop sounds that balance the delicate nature of young naivety and brooding heartache. Her sound is completely unique, a culmination of her wide musical influences, from folk, alternative pop, 90s alternative rock and even Gaelic tunes. Liaden Zane's music is honest and raw, encompassing the very core feelings of the heart that we all feel late at night, but can never quite say.
