After crossing paths at the Melbourne Uni Conservatorium whilst studying composition, electro-acoustic music and renaissance dance, members of the Light Rail departed from their classical origins to brand a new acoustic pop, laced with thick harmonies and plentiful improvisation. After a solid year of gigs around Melbourne, the group is starting work on its debut EP.
