Bio

First formed in mid-2019, The Lilacs started as a four-piece band playing covers in Mojos Bar. As Jarred (lead guitar), Abigail (vocals & rhythm guitar), Sophie (bass) and Billie (drums) learned more about each other, they wrote original songs that were then performed at The Rosemount, The Bassendean, and The Garage. Recorded at Tunafish Recording Company, on the 20th September, 2020, the band released their first single, Falling Through.

After nearly two years of performing, their original drum player, Billie Merriman, had to leave, paving the way for current drummer Patrick Famiano to join the indie-pop band. Since Patrick has joined, the band has played at venues new to them, including the 2021 School Strike for Climate, Bar 459, and the Indi Bar.
