Bio

Little Lovers’ songwriter Wintah Thompson was exposed to Australian music culture at an early age since his father, Glenn Thompson, was playing in iconic Aussie bands such as Custard and the Go-Betweens. Even with these insights Wintah surprisingly continued to pursue his own music passion. Little Lovers’ songs reflect the Brisbane sloppy, sunny, loose characteristics displayed by some of the greatest underground Brisbane bands such as the Melniks, Extra Foxx, Skippy, Cunningham, the Zebras and Biro. Now living in Sydney the Little L’s sound has bonded with some of the cities pace and energy without loosing their sunshine state vibe. The Little Lovers have had the opportunity to grace the stage with some of their own heroes the Lemonheads, Smudge and Jeffery Lewis. “The three-piece band is the purest form of rock n roll.” (Robert Forster – 10 Rules of Rock n Roll)
