Artist:Little Skye

After fronting bands from a young age, front woman Ashby Ranson, started writing solo music as a small side project in 2011. In 2012, Ashby finally started performing these songs at live music venues under the stage name of "Little Skye" across both Melbourne and Perth. Like most acoustic artists, Ashby wanted live accompaniment. After jamming with close friends James Mcmerrin and Tyler Michie and her sister India Ranson, it became quite clear that Little Skye was not destined to be soft acoustic music, but a heavy post-pop sound with thoughtful chord progressions and dynamics. Little Skye has since supported local bands such as Harlequin League, Lionizer and Hideous Sun Demon. They are set to go into the studio in late August and will be releasing their debut single in October 2013.
