Bio

Gavin Arnold, known professionally as Littlehawk, is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from Perth. His music traverses pop, rock, electronic and folk in his debut album 'Chinchilla'.

Chinchilla charts the personal journey of the songwriter over the past ten years – with themes of love, hope, imagination, melancholy and reflection – and its release coincided with the birth of his first baby. The 12-track album was recorded and mixed by Matt Gio at Rada Studios and mastered by Grammy award-winner William Bowden at King Willy Sound.

Littlehawk has performed at the Yagan Square opening in the Perth CBD, the State Theatre Courtyard, Brookfield Place, and live performances on ABC Perth radio, Twin Cities FM, RTRFM's Breakfast and Rockin' the Roots. Tracks from his album have also been played on Double J, Mix 94.5 and community stations across the country.

"sweet and clever" [Baby Boy Girl] - Dorothy Markek, Music Director, Double J

"an amazing, beautiful album" - Tamara Szep, Rockin' The Roots, RTRFM

"Creative, inventive, vividly descriptive, beautifully played" - 88.9 FM Hills Radio

The more I listen the more I love. Plenty of groove to shake you off your seat.

Epic little tune with a driving drum from the first beat, cool and catchy electro vibes, rounded out with dreamy vocals. Love the synth chords that unexpectedly punctuate things, forcing you to sit up and listen in all over again. Strong late 70s / early 80s feelings in the lyrics and sound. Really dig this direction, showcases an exciting diversity as a musician.
