Locky Beresford has been around the traps, playing in various rock and metal bands around Melbourne for well over a decade. Growing up in the South East suburbs, he mainly took on the lead guitar role and tortured his parents with his heavy metal taste.
In recent years, he's been playing with rock band, Lazarus Mode, and making some money on the side by playing solo acoustic covers shows and running various open mic nights.
Now he's decided to start writing some original music and get some music out there. Influenced by various artists including Nick Cave, Porcupine Tree and The Snowdroppers, Locky marries effective chord progressions with dark melodies and sometimes aggressive vocals.
Throughout the start of 2016, Locky has been going about recording his first EP in his studio set up in his loungeroom. This was a labour of love with everything from the recording to mixing to mastering to artwork all done by himself. With a realistic view of the state of the music industry, he likes to focus on just making great music that inspires him.
