Bio

Lone Elk formed in Sydney, Australia in late 2017. They draw on musical influences from different eras and are inspired by psychedelic rock, experimental and post-punk compositions from artists such as Pink Floyd, Beach House, Warpaint, Joy Division etc. Lone Elk are emerging in Sydney's underground music scene, spreading in their chinese-esque whispers through pop-up shows (OAF, Chippo, Lansdowne, Lady Hampshire), national radio play (FBI & community radio stations) and media blogs (Pilerats). With a sound that is as diverse as their members Lone Elk bring a fresh taste to Australan rock music and have a promising year for 2019.

I like this one more than 'Blackout'. It feels nice and open-ended. I'm a sucker for that propulsive, kinda-motorik vibe. And, of course, the darkness.

Yeah similar to Zan I wish the vox were higher in the mix. Especially with the male/female parts playing off one another. Regardless, it's a nice slice of noir-rock... reminds me of The Raveonettes.

Lots of dark atmosphere on this song; the squalling guitars add to it, would be great to hear a bit more dynamic range in the mix but also - maybe that's the brooding point!
