Bio

Joel Skurrie and Al Currie are a singing/songwriting duo whose music spans from indie rock to folky pop.

Growing up in Melbourne, both Al and Joel have been involved heavily in music since a young age. It was when they met in 2016 that they begun to write music together and by 2017 they were recording in the studio together. 2019 will see them release their first song under the banner ‘Lookalikes’ and eventually their EP.

They tracked the songs themselves in the studio with their producer Harley Stewart of Fight Night Records, experimenting with sounds and layering in the instruments.

Lookalikes are super excited to release their music out into the world and have their eyes set on live shows throughout the year!

Such a tidy pop song with some really interesting production flourishes. Look forward to hearing the sound evolve.

I like the way that this track stays low and brooding with that racing dark energy. An impressive intro to Lookalikes.

it's jaunty, has some great interplay and keeps up this great pace the whole time.
