Bio

Conceived on a weekend whim, Melbourne-based band Lucerne Cr. (Lucerne Crescent) deliver an effort of punchy, sizzling basslines, colourful melodies and expressive, impressionistic lyrics. The four high school mates threw caution to the wind at the beginning of 2017 with some backyard gigs on the street from which they take their name.

For the last few months Nic has been writing an album's worth of songs each week, with a debut EP taking shape. In the meantime, the band has been rehearsing in Nic's garage-turned-studio in the hopes of delivering more tunes like "Undertow" in the not too distant future.

It's been said a few times already but I can't help but register that same Methyl Ethel reference. Some clear flavours of your own to this but not a bad influence to be channeling regardless.

That bass line is a real grab. Definitely, hear the Methyl Ethel influence seeping through this a lot. Was hoping for more of a punch at the chorus, but I dig that low key groove across the track. By the end of it, it's really catchy. Keen to hear more from you!
