Bio

Lucinda Edwards’ music is born of synaesthesia and an unbending love for storytelling. Her songwriting begins with a scent, a taste, an image and – always – a story. The result: a sound which is cinematic and immersive. Edwards’ songs belong to a universe seeded in her Sydney bedroom, and combine to form what feels like the soundtrack to a coming-of-age film: tapping into veins of the universal, with the fresh eyes and electric energy of youth.

At 17, Lucinda is shaping a genre-defying course, traversing sonic borders, shifting between soft rock, indie, and atmospheric synth-pop. Reminiscent of Florence and the Machine and London Grammar, her soulful vocals intersect with twisty, whimsical infusions of electronic and organic elements. Storytelling is the thread which ties it all together. With intricate songwriting and a soundscape which mirrors the depth and range of the artist herself, Lucinda Edwards is a force unfolding.

The hook on this track does just that, hooks you in and doesn't let you go
