Bio

Small country town, bored angry teenagers. Being bullied in high school taught me how to songwrite. You're angry and you don't know what to do with it so you put it into a song, sing it like crazy and then let it go.

At the bare bones Lucinda is lyrically driven. With the muscle of pop and indie elements, influences ranging from Imogen Heap and Don McLean, to Emily Dickinson and Charlotte Bronte.

A local to the sleepy bay of Redcliffe, QLD (think retirees with little dogs and youths who steal cars) LR has supported the likes of Stu Larsen, Tom West, Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music) and supported Jack Carty in a National Australian Tour in 2017.

Lucinda R. is set to release an EP with Holy Holy Album Paint producer Matt Redlich for 2020. The Debut Single TIN TIN, written for her 16 year old self.

“I finally learnt how to say the things I was feeling at sixteen. Some of the lyrics are cute, others are full of uncertainty, probing all the contours of loneliness.”

Those tracked vocals are the perfect vessel to deliver Lucinda's trembling songwriting. She does so much with so little.

it doesn't need a big hook because that's not the point of it. the slow build is like a rising tide and it laps at your feet to start but by the end your totally submerged.
