Bio

From Lyke Giants, the Indie Rock trio from the most southern depths of Australia, Tasmania, comes their latest single, Jacob.

Collaborating with Paul Mckercher (The Vines, Sarah Blasko, Papa vs Pretty) Lyke Giants unveil their latest single, ‘Jacob’, released 21st October. Jacob is a slow-burning track that reflects an affinity to Jacob in the biblical story of Jacob, when he wrestles with God to receive a new name. The track continually builds until landing to explode in a mass of musical tension, growing with a chanting vocal declaration to saturate the listener in a spacious soundscape.

Jacob is just the beginning of what’s in store from Lyke Giants’s upcoming releases.

I'm impressed by the shift in direction here. It's less brooding than what I know from Lyke Giants with some nice, warmer textures to the guitars. Still got that overwrought vocal but it all glides along pretty cleanly.

Very Nice tune. Accent on the Vocals sound a little like the Bondi Hipsters though.
