The Maids' unique fusion of powerhouse groove/roots/rock has been described in the media as 'a blend of New Orleans funk band The Meters and Jimi Hendrix'. Formed in Sydney in 2003, The Maids comprises vocalist/guitarist Greg Nunan, with Dobro slide guitarist Aaron Houston (Extended Family), bass man Mark Holbert (Peregrine) and Dave Sleishman on drums. Previously known as The G.Nunan Project and well-established in Sydney under that name, the band is relaunching with a fresh look reflective of their new moniker, The Maids. The sound roars from rock to blues, to funk and back again with each musician one of the best in their field. The suave bluesy rock groove pushes audiences to their feet while the soul ballads offer lyrical tales tall and true, all presented with charismatic larrikin style by frontman, Greg Nunan.
