Bio

Mal de Mer are an indie surf/funk/pop band hailing from Perth, WA. Forming in December of 2017, the band have been playing weekly gigs since February; and were invited to play Fairbridge Festival in 2018. Consisting of jangly guitar, drums, bass, keys, saxophone and vocals, this group of mates are definitely making a name for themselves around the Perth music scene.

Their first single Wet Socks was released on the 22nd of June on most platforms (spotify, iTunes, Apple Music etc.), and they are in the midst of recording their follow-up single, which is set to be released in the coming months.

Ohhh HelL to the yes, that surf rock vibe got me so so into this tune. Saskia your voice has such a great energy to it, totally your own sound. Pumped to see what else you guys serve up!

Wet Socks takes you on a real trip but never feels like it's trying. Also, nearly all music needs more saxophone. Not this. This has a great amount of saxophone.
