Bio

A band name inspired from one of the greatest parties of all time, Malcolm Forbes 70th Birthday Party is a creative consequence of the global lockdown.

It all started in late 1989, when the richest man in the world flew in friends from around the globe to spend a lavish weekend indulging in many of the delights life has to offer.
This mythical event captured the imagination of the world, including two Brisbane boys who were yet to be born, and who were destined to forge a friendship over synthesizers, beaches and bopping at parties.

Leading songwriters, friends and watermelon enthusiasts, Ricky & Ryan have collaborated with five Australian female vocalists and songwriters; all whilst keeping recording and production ‘in house’ amongst the intimacy of their shared home during lockdown. Vocalists featured on these tracks include Hallie, Jeffe, Ayla, Rosa Mack and Lars Night.

‘Delta’ - taken from their upcoming debut EP, features a commanding and exciting vocal performance from Sunshine Coast favourite, Ayla. Combining pop melodies and an exciting crescendo, the track captures the liberating internal voice that knows its own desires.

about 2 mins in i was like, 'ok this is solid but i'm wanting a climax' and you definitely delivered. that rise in the last minute was spot on - still stylish but definitely made the heart race a tad.

Was very excited to hear the follow up after the debut and this doesn't disappoint. It's got a euphoric upbeat dance feel that hits strong by the end and who doesn't want to feel like that by the end of a song?! So wonderful hearing you right at home on vocals Ayla too.
