Bio

Mammals is the indie-electronica-folk project of Australian singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Guy Brown. Mammals’ debut EP Animalia shot him into notoriety, clocking up over 11 million plays on Spotify via word of mouth alone. Lead singles ‘Circles’ and ‘Carried’ received Triple J support and the EP’s success scored Brown and his band a spot as main support for Of Monsters & Men on their national Australian tour.

Having composed and produced music for Advertising and Film for many years, burnt out over the city lifestyle, Brown felt the urge to reignite his creativity. In 2016 he quit his full-time job and relocated to the small coastal town of Mollymook. Brown then embarked on a year of world travel and songwriting to piece together what became his soundtrack to escapism, sophomore EPChase Your Bliss.

Following an interim collaboration with Goldroom with single ’Til Sunrise’ (amassing over 12 million Spotify streams) and a placement of ‘Depraved’ on the season finale of popular US television series ‘How to Get Away With Murder’, Mammals unveiled 'Chase Your Bliss in 2017'. The lead single was featured in Spotify’s UK Viral 50 playlist followed by a national headline tour supporting Vera Blue.

Last year saw Mammals releasing a number of collaborative tracks, including L D R U’s ‘Can’t Drive’. He also had the opportunity to jump on stage at some of Australia's biggest festivals including Splendour in the Grass and Sydney City Limits.

The time has come for Mammals to come out of hibernation once again, as some of his most exciting new material joins us in 2019.

Your voice is so creamy and lush. Stunning and dreamy. It's the perfect soundtrack for a gentle sunset and summer. It really just lights up!

you don't need to ask me twice to kick it on the coast line, especially with that last minute of this song, it's seriously good. if they re-made 'the beach' this would be on the soundtrack no question.
