Mandala began jamming and rehearsing in 2005 in Sydney as friends, but it didn’t take long for them to realize they had something special, and before long a self produced full length debut album was in their sights. With rock influences ranging from such artists as Tool to Yngwie Malmsteen, blending their unique sound with classical, world and film score influences was set to be an epic undertaking. Despite the difficulties and challenges arising from self producing such a massive and unique project, Mandala’s self titled debut album was released in 2009 and the band has begun rehearsing with a view to take their music to the stage in early 2010…
