From humble beginnings in Byron Bay, Marshall and the Fro are now in demand nationally and internationally. Marshall & the fro have performed at: The East Coast Blues & Roots Festival 07, 08, Festival of the Sun 07, Queenscliff Music Festival 07 & 08, Apollo Bay Music festival 08, Narooma Southern Blues & Rockabilly Festival 08, Peats Ridge Festival, Gympie Muster 08, Loud Festival 08, The Quiksilver Pro & Woodford Folk Festival 08/09. They have shared the bill some of the biggest names Including: Ben Harper, Wolf Mother, The Living End, Joss Stone, Buddy Guy, Blue King Brown, The Cat Empire, The Herd, Jeff Lang, Jackson Jackson, Josh Pyke, Gomez, CW Stoneking, Mia Dyson, Clare Bowditch, Gotye, Xavier Rudd, Ash Grunwald and Dallas Frasca to name a few. Comprised of Marshall OKell on Vocals, Guitar, Slide guitar and percussion, Newest menber Tracy Stephens on Bass (Tracy Bassy) and Jacob Mann (Poodle) on Drums, Marshall & the fro really are a refreshing modern Face generating a Progressive rock/roots Based musical energy. Their music feels so natural and so comfortable it's like slipping into your favorite pair of thongs heading to a festival only to find that you’re slamming them together in the air chanting an OCCA anthem “I got my thongs on”!! The band embraces its Australian heritage and what better icon than the humble double plugger!!!
