Artist:Matty Ross

My name is Matty Ross and I have been writing music for about 20 years. I have been in several bands over the years during my adventures, and my travels around the country and the world have taken me through Europe, Egypt and even East Timor. The last few years have found me settling down and taking it easy in Brisbane. So now I have a lot of time to record the old, and write the new. With a classically trained Mother and a tone deaf aging hippy Father, I have been subjected to, and influenced by, everyone from Rodgers and Hammerstein and Burt Bacharach to Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Van Halen. I have tried to turn my voice into a rock and roll voice for years. But no amount of cigarettes and bourbon has helped. That’s why I’m primarily a writer and producer. A great vocalist can make a good song great. So I’d much prefer my works to be published and performed by someone with talent, (ha ha)!
