Bio

Max & the Electric is the collaboration of two lads from Perth, Western Australia, James Stefanuto and Tom O'Reilly. Single 'City Lover' and the rest of the upcoming release were recorded and produced by the dashing Sam Ford (Abbe May, The Silents) at 'Tone City Studio’ in Perth. Their sound is melody driven, groove laden and influenced by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys, Phoenix and that sound people make when they take a bite of their favourite tasty treat. Check it out.

"What is clear, however, is that the track, with its pulsing beats, sugary guitar licks, and easygoing funk spirit, is a welcome new track from an exciting new band" - www.Fuzzyheadphonez.com (Miami, FL, USA)

"a sparkling song with a driving electro beat that hits you with a very Niles Rodgers- style funky guitar out of the blue. It’s pure pop" www.backseatmafia.com (UK)

"The chorus is chock full of party grooves, the bass and drums clipping along at a nice pace as the beat drives the song forward, but leaving plenty of room for those guitars to have their fun. Don’t be surprised to find this song getting the remix treatment some time in the future." www.hhhhappy.com (AUS)

"debut single "City Lover" mixes a late Fleetwood Mac-style rhythmic verse with a driving groove-laden pop chorus" www.aaabackstage.com (AUS)
