MEATBEE formed in the year 2000 and have proven to be a dynamic and ambitious band. Consisting of Kate Sullivan (vocals/rhythm guitar), Ben Lopez (lead guitar), and Charlie Bigg-Wither (drums) MEATBEE combine their unique blend of guitar driven rock and bluesy melody with passion and enthusiasm for their music. MEATBEE have played supports for artists as diverse as Pete Murray, Jimmy Barnes, Waikiki, and Nitocris. The band push themselves not only to create exciting and innovative music, but also to keep shows varied in their format. MEATBEE are not only renowned for their larger than life electric sets, but also for acoustic sets, and an acoustic duo put together by Ben and Kate. This has made them attractive to many artists as openers for a show. MEATBEE have also had success in the recording studio.
