Filipina-Australian singer, songwriter, Mel Bailey is back with her second EP 'Bloom' released on 13th of August. Bloom is heavily inspired by Mel Bailey's trip to South America and her realisations she was faced with when coming home. It's Mel's most experimental and vulnerable body of work to date, where she hoped to encapsulate a common ground for each song, to find strength to grow. A journey that began two years ago where she manifests themes such as 'inner peace', being in a 'maze' and the constant reference to her belief in the sun and Mother Nature. "The EP & overall theme was originally inspired by my time in Peru & Chile, and in particular The Amazon & Atacama Desert. I stumbled across a few lonesome flowers growing in the middle of the desert which somehow resonated with me.
