Melanie Eden infuses stories with sounds that are moving, courageous and sincere. As a survivor of child abuse and an outspoken critic of the bio-medical model Melanie advocates for communities and pedagogies of care. Melanie’s debut album Old Friend was recorded by film and television producer, composer and sound engineer Geir S Brillian and self-released August 2019. Described as; beautiful raw avant-folk. In June, 2021 Melanie released 공 空. accompanied by Pansori Master; Master Bae Il Dong and featuring Korea's experimental heavyweights Sato Yukie and Han Joo Lee. The album is reviewed and recommended by Songlines Magazine UK "Eden has held nothing back on this unique and at times unhinged oddity”. On Nov 10th Melanie released her first single from forthcoming third album ‘Caught’. It is playing on community and commercial radio across Australia and overseas.
