Where did all the fast bands go? A question posed at many a drinking session by these four gents who have collectively been playing in bands (probably) longer then you've been alive. Only one thing could come out of the answer to this question and that was Mental Giants. Ryan and Bax from Stolen Bikes Ride Faster & Vomit Bullets, Hayden Bartlet of No Trust & The Dead Ringers found the band already etched in the local punk scene. The only thing they needed was a high-pitched wail. With the inclusion of vocalist Mark (Balls Deep) the four-piece got to work. It was more practice than work but we'll go with work for now. It only took a couple of sweaty hours at VIA Studios before the band had their debut EP "Pop-a-Mono" in the bag. The band recorded with B2 (Bad Day Down) in his studio before leaving it up to the grand folks at West Westside Music for the mastering process, otherwise known as "polishing a turd."
