Bio

Mercs are a five piece from Adelaide, formed in June 2017 combining their influences of alternative rock & post punk.

After a busy first year releasing their debut studio release 'Isolator', this year has seen Mercs take a step up in the diverse Adelaide music scene releasing ‘Humdrum’ and following up with their newest studio release 'Tidelines' a taste of what's to come for the talented outfit fresh to the scene.

‘Tidelines’ officially released on November 23, is a song detailing the frustration of maintaining a facade of happiness and “health” in a culture where it’s constantly expected. This message is carried across with tight, snappy drums, clever guitar leads and passionate vocals.

With only three songs released, Mercs have already landed themselves on line-ups with the likes of West Thebarton, These New South Whales, RAAVE TAPES, and BOAT SHOW.
They have also been able to play with some fantastic bands from Adelaide such as TOWNS, Siamese, Colourblind and Paradise Club.

Thought I could hear a bit of that unvarnished post-punk Horror My Friend in some parts of this and ta da this band's also from SA. Really convincing finish to this one.
