Bio

Mia Lovelock has long followed a creative path, working as a musician, artist, fashion designer, and model across Australia. Her guitar and voice have been a constant companion throughout her life, with childhood years in Arnhem Land and Papua New Guinea influencing her love of country and nature. After years busking and gigging across the east coast, Lovelock gained a diploma in music from the TAFE Contemporary Music Centre in Sydney.

Lovelock was the drummer in the all-girl band Taffeta Punk, a vibrant trio that released an EP called Vanity Kills and performed widely across Sydney at music venues and festivals.

She has worked as a visual artist and shown her work in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Sydney and the ACT. Her art was recently featured on the ABC TV series Black Comedy.

She also created Luvlok, a fashion label that creates one-of-a-kind garments with natural fabrics and hand-painted materials. These true wearable art pieces have been featured in US fashion magazines such as Elegant Magazine, SALYSE, and Prolific.

Lovelock has an authentic voice inspired by folk, electro, and indie-pop tones. She draws on a range of classic and modern influences, from the raw emotion of PJ Harvey to the pop-flavoured escapism of Benee, Banoffee and beyond. Balancing exploration with simplicity, Lovelock's music is beautiful, harmonious, and very much of these times.

there's earnest moments then turns of pace and passion and it all adds up nicely.
