About
Miller is a singer / songwriter / storyteller who writes emotionally honest folk-pop music with poetic simplicity. Hailing from Melbourne, her sound is in the same school as Anais Mitchell, Laura Marling and Sharon Van Etten. In 2016, she released her debut album In a While, with the title track reminiscent of classic nineties indie-pop tunes like The Whitlams' No Aphrodisiac, and Ben Folds Five's Brick. In a While enjoyed success on triplejunearthed, spending 2 weeks at number 1 on the Roots charts. The Way You Trust The Moon is the next phase in Miller’s moody, folk music. Fitted with 3 songs that weave guitar, keys, cello and French horn, alongside Miller’s consoling vocals, this latest EP is similar to early-days Laura Marling, and centres around the need to move forward, whether you’re willing to or not. Miller was featured on ABC774’s Afternoons with Clare Bowditch in early 2016. She has been performing on the Melbourne music scene for ten years, winning a number of awards ...
