Deep within the Bayside suburbs, cluttered somewhere in between the crowd of loud-mouthed teenagers and bogan surfer wannabe's lay Brisbane Alt-Rockers Minus Nine. Officially formed in 2011, Minus Nine are an up and coming Brisbane 5 piece who just love loud-quiet dynamic shifts, screeching guitar solos and riffs that sound like a building is about to collapse. They began picking up speed in 2012 gigging on the local Brisbane scene playing venues such as The Zoo, The Hi-Fi, The Tempo, Rics Bar, The Hive, plus many more; the band has since gained a bit of a following. Notorious for energetic live shows, loud guitars, pop orientated but grunge inspired songs, honest and contemplative lyrics and jokes about the lead singers weight. Minus Nine are slowly but surely gathering some attention.
