Bio
Hailing from Bunbury and now based in Perth, 23-year-old independent artist Mitchell Martin has firmly secured a place for himself in the Western Australian music scene. Having supported the likes of Killing Heidi, Sheppard, Katy Steele (Little Birdy), Justice Crew, performed on the main stage of many major festivals and notably live on both Telethon and in front of 50,000 people at Optus Stadium, Mitchell Martin is definitely one to watch. Mitchell has racked up millions of streams on Spotify, his single 'Dim the Lights' landed at #20 on the iTunes Rock Chart, the music video hit 25,000 views on YouTube and German producer Svniivan's remix passed 400,000 streams on Spotify. Mitchell's following single 'Be Myself' was nominated for the 2019 Western Australian Song of the Year by WAM and Mitchell's most recent single 'Please Come Home' debuted at #3 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart. Mitchell's last two headline shows have been at two of Perth's iconic live music venues Jack Rabbit Slim's and the Indian Ocean Hotel where he sold hundreds of tickets and played to packed rooms. Mitchell Martin shows no signs of slowing down, having recently won the National Campus Music Competition's prize to record at the iconic Grove Studios in New South Wales. To kick off 2021, Mitchell and his 5-piece-band will be undertaking his second Western Australian Tour with shows scheduled in Esperance, Albany, Margaret River, Bunbury, Mandurah, Fremantle and Perth. Mitchell will be taking along special guests Joan & The Giants and having local acts from each regional town open the shows.
