Bio

In 2021, a new name out of Toowoomba, Queensland braces to share with us her most unique talents. Montana Kennedy is an honest singer/songwriter with an infectious balance of alt-pop and country/folk tip-toeing a line of electronic bliss. Growing up, Montana’s influences stemmed from her favourite artists in the kin of Taylor Swift and Kieth Urban. If they ever met Flume at a party and collab’d we would assume it would sound something like her upcoming debut single ‘eggshells’. Her emotionally charged, lyrically intrepid tunes found their way to Brisbane producer HARRY FOX and while holding true to the girl with a guitar writing songs in her room, Montana’s identity evolved into punchy, upbeat, alt-pop production fit for any festival slot. Montana has been hard at work for well over 18 months preparing this project which has a number of vibrant singles set to be released in 2021, and her debut EP to follow.

it's got that pop sweetness but doesn't go cringe or sickly sweet and those casual throw ins really help that. a very cool one montana!

"You give a small fraction of what I want / I'm relieved 'cause that's a good day" - well this HIT me. Relatable lyricism with an instrumental charm.

Montana, it sounds like you went through the emotional wringer for this one. You've managed to turn that time into a warm and affecting pop song so I think you've come out the winner, tbh :)
