Bio

There is an intoxicating majesty between the serene and the melancholy underpinning the music of Byron Bay art-rock 4-piece Moreton, where stories of trouble are made beautiful with shining sounds and stirring vocals.

In 2019 year the band release their sophomore EP, The Dog Years. The records swings from charged alt-rock atmospheres into intimate and orchestral moments, with droning guitars and twinkling vintage synthesisers tying the songs together into a work that is at once powerful and fragile - a sound becoming synonymous with Moreton and their broody minimalism.

Their debut EP, Specimen, is out now featuring singles The Water, Specimen and Johana.

"Masterfully melts hope and despair into single sentences, punching through the feet-dragged composition with lingering one-liners." – Rolling Stone Australia

“An utterly sublime, evocative, yet wholly tranquil experience; more a meandering, delayed sense of gratification than direct and instant relief — and all the more a pleasure to listen to for it.” – The Music

Not many vocalists can sit astride a track with JVM and hold their own but here we are!
