Artist:Moses Warusam

Moses Warusam was born on Thursday Island and raised on Saibai Island by his grandparents Mebai and Rona Warusam. Moses started playing music in the local Holy Trinity Church and Saibai island Band as a teenager under the guidance of Ron Enosa. Although he studied music at Centre for Aboriginal Studies at Adelaide University between 1997-1999 and later Advanced Diploma in Music at Tropical North Queensland TAFE in 2007-2009, his passion for music always took a backward seat to Rugby League until he succumbed to a serious leg injury at the end of 2008; thus elevating music to the front seat in Moses life. Moses worked as a Teacher’s Aide and Music Teacher on Saibai Island State School between 2003-2006, before relocating to Cairns to peruse his love of music in 2007.
