Bio

“Moth Swatter” is code for the new, long-percolating solo venture of Thom Stewart, known for fielding bass and keys in Perth-based dream-pop outfit Methyl Ethel since its inception as a live band.

Glimmers of life and inner narratives captured between tours, early mornings, long dark winters and first-floor contemplations. Moth Swatter’s debut entries are gems of assured songwriting and rich production: an auspicious forecast of more to come, and a delight unto themselves.

I'm coming down with Moth Swatter Fever, symptoms include persistent toe tapping and the desire to swing your hips.

Put your hand up if you're surprised that a man who plays bass and keys in one of the all time Perth acts has happened to make this bass and keys focused record with a hat full of drive. Ok put your hands down. You're all fired.
