Bio

Mount Saint Leonard are an Indie folk/rock band from Melbourne, Australia.
Formed in early 2016 by alt folk artist Kathleen Mary Lee, the band has a nostalgic sound at times reminiscent of 70’s rock, the likes of Mazzy Star and even Bob Dylan after he went electric. With an emphasis on strong and meaningful lyrics and without ever a wasted line, Lee has her roots in old masters of song and poetry and, albeit subtle, Leonard Cohen's influence is certainly there. Lachlan O’Kane (Dorsal Fins, Canary) abandons his usual position behind the drums to take on the bass whilst Justin Olsson (LANKS, Life Is Better Blonde) is behind the kit, Isaac Barter (Canary, Oh Pep) is on electric and Lee plays a nylon string.
Mount Saint Leonard's debut album is due out in mid 2017 with the first single, ‘Blame Me’ coming out in September 2016.

Listening to this song is making me feel like the only person on this crowded train.

Lovely blues tones throughout and like Gen, that rolling snare is a great addition.

Heartbreaking lyrics, bittersweet vocal delivery, and I love the marching snares, they give a sense of inevitable heartbreak.
