    MOURNING TIDE BIO Formed on the Gold Coast in late 2000, Mourning Tide began with the intent to be the most entertaining & unique band in the hardcore/metal scene. The 4 piece quickly gained a solid local following on the strength of their blistering live show & brutal brand of melodic hardcore. Over the next few years they played countless shows including supports for bands such as Strung Out, Soilwork & Cro Mags, strengthening their already loyal fan base. In 2003 they released their debut self titled EP through Modern Music, which received a favourable 4/5 review in KERRANG magazine & airplay on Triple J. Now in its second pressing, the EP has helped Mourning Tide gain a strong east coast following. The following year brought changes to the Mourning Tide lineup, with the addition of a second guitarist & a new drummer.
