Melbourne band Mr Brady has a vision like no other – to create new and original vintage-style pop. Their music is clever and quirky and may well belong in the opening credits of a late 70s sitcom. After all, 70s pop culture is what truly inspires them, be it the music of Steely Dan or the films of Blake Edwards. Featured in the group are frontman John Nelder (pictured) on vocals and keys, Alex Perez on bass and Craig Dick on drums. The three first met through mutual friends and together they now perform all around Melbourne in full vintage attire. Each show is brought to life by Nelder’s onstage presence (himself a former Melbourne Uni Comedy Comp winner). The band’s debut album is called ‘She’s Relatively Sexy' and is now available at iTunes. Beat Magazine gave the CD an honorary mention in its albums of the year column for 2009.
