Bio

Developing a love for music at an early age, Zimbabwean born, Perth rapper Muka Vhatti became inspired to make his own music during his formative years in high school; Listening to artists such as Chance the Rapper and The Lumineers. Often discussing themes of lifestyle, relationships and addiction Muka’s self-titled musical style “Ocean TTrap” sits within the realm of contemporary trap and indie rap, tinged with a strong psychedelic influence. Muka tows the line of Australian hip-hop contemporaries such as Kwame, Arno Faraji and BLESSED.

In the past year Muka has found his own lane of success, winning the acclaimed Australian Uni Sounds competition and joining fellow Perth rapper Arno Faraji on a nation-wide tour. 2020 has seen Muka build upon this success, releasing singles “Grey” and “$he” in anticipation for his debut EP as he continues to grow his Ocean TTrap brand.

Muka has worked with the likes of Arno Faraji, Tasker and Bodega Collective’s Korky Buchek. His music has been supported by blogs such as Baked, Happy Mag and Off the Clef as well as Triple J Unearthed.

I can imagine this at a festival already: sun starting to set, bev in one hand, the other cradling your nearest love interest. Muka Vhatti nails that sexy nonchalance.

Great release from this crew. Oozing in talent, woozy prod and the slickest flow.
