My Sauce Good is a tasty Sydney-based group with Female vocals, electric guitars, and drums. Singer Laura and guitarist Dirk met at the Studio Opera House checking out a night of cool Russian music, including the mighty Vulgargrad. We decided to form our own band. So now we have My Sauce Good and we’re doin’ this thing our way, just like mister Sinatra sang… Oh yeah and its working baby, you better believe it! We play music we have labelled as ‘Continental Boogie’ or ‘International Swing’, because everyone asks us to describe our original sound. There are Cabaret-inspired drinking tunes, soulful Latin-American folksong influences, bohemian rock… My Sauce Good is fun, flavoursome and stylish with a cheeky edge: We play ‘Songs and music with influences from around the World’ rather than dreary fusion ‘World-Muzak’!. There are songs in Spanish, French, Italian and yes, don’t fret — even English. The group began in 2008 and has been going from strength to strength with memorable performances at a selection of Australian and International music festivals, hip clubs such as Venue 505, Camelot Lounge, The Basement and major theatres such as The Sydney Opera House, The Seymour Centre, Riverside Theatre, The Art Gallery of New South Wales, Warehouse Parties and even on the streets of Italy. The band is proudly promoting their self-titled cd, and a new Film-clip and new album is on the way. We cant wait!
