Bio

Myths formed in 2017 and are based in Perth, Western Australia. Their music is best described as neo-psychedelia, taking inspiration from the styles and sounds of the 60s and 70s, and merging them with a modern approach to sound design.

This comes to the forefront in their new single When You Go Where You Go When You Die, opening with an 8-bit collage of old video game death sounds before layers of vintage synthesizers, sitars and more take over.

In 2018 the band released their self-produced debut album “Paradigm”, and work on a follow-up has been underway almost immediately.

The result of that work is their second full length LP “The Art of Pretending” which is due to be released in mid-2021.

what a beauuutiful step up from myths here. it's all 60s psych sending me spinning back in time and straight into a pair of flares and some coloured sunglasses at a pool party.

If you didn't know by now that the west runs this sunny psych game then let this be a lesson to y'all! MYTHS sound like they're just back to earth having kissed the sky on this note perfect summer gem.
