Bio

Influenced through a diet of soul, neo-soul, pop and jazz, NAOMI is sharing a fierce voice coupled with catchy beats in her debut EP | My Temptation. The Brisbane-based singer/songwriter is tempting audiences with her original material offering reggae, jazz, soul and pop songs.

NAOMI identifies with the Badtjala nation of the Fraser Coast Region on her father’s side. She has been singing in musicals and performing in choirs since she was a child. Carefully constructed, her Debut EP showcases the skills of this Bachelor of Music (Jazz/Pop) graduate of Conservatorium of Music in Mackay who also holds a Diploma of The Performing Arts from The Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) in Brisbane. In 2017, Naomi will be expanding her musical knowledge as she commences a Masters of Music Studies majoring in Vocal Pedagogy at the Griffith Conservatorium of Music.

NAOMI has performed at high-profile events including the G20 Cultural Celebrations Opening, 5th IMC World Forum on Music, FOGS Expo and Island Vibes Music Festival. As well as many productions performed at QPAC, QTC, The Powerhouse and The WatchHouse such as Blak Electric, Deadly Voices Live, Vox Onyx, In Session and Clancestry. Naomi has also performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival with the Supreme Dreams, Bernie's Jazz and Piano Cafe and The Yeppoon Village Festival with CQU and The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo and Edinburgh Military Tattoo (Sydney Tour) with OzScot Australia.

This is super chill without being sleepy. You'll be wide awake and under the spell of Naomi's silken voice.
