Nat J is a Melbourne based singer-songwriter. Influenced by singers such as Sara Bareilles, Missy Higgins and Passenger, Nat produces a pop/soul sound through her sultry vocals and catchy piano melodies.
Nat has had experience at a number of venues with regular appearances at Penny Blue in Melbourne and most recently supported fellow musician & friend Jordan Bailey at Revolver Bandroom. In March 2015, she was invited to perform at the Aireys Inlet Open Mic Music Festival which also featured the Hoodoo Gurus.
Whilst being a self taught pianist, Nat has gained valuable vocal skills at Soundworks Music Studio in Brunswick, gaining knowledge from a number of different teachers with varied styles & techniques. She also studied music theory and as a result of her training and performance background, Nat has developed a unique sound that is both dynamic and touching.
Nat has just released her debut EP “Rinse”, a record that represents the kaleidoscope that is life. "Rinse" takes the listener on a rollercoaster of heartache, frustration, anger, fear & elation.
