Bio

Needing Cherie is an exciting and eclectic band with their roots emanating from the pristine creative culture of Dunsborough Western Australia. Enjoy a sample of their debut EP “Apple and the Worm” by listen to Mother’s Petunias – Winner of WAM Song of the Year 2012 World & Folk section - here on Unearthed. “Their sound is original, their special breed of surf-folk-rock hard to compare...slick guitar and mournful violins bring strength to the music, and lets the vocals shine through to complete the sound” - BD Mail. “They put the melody back into music” - My Big Gig The boys have recently released their second EP "Veracity" with the new single "Peter Rabbit" here on triple J. They are stoked to have played a FolkWorld Fairbridge Festival 2013 and to learn from the greats such as John Butler, Andrew Winton and Kristina Olsen. I remember downloading "I Just Wanna Be Friends" a while ago and absolutely loving it. Just decided to come back and check out if you guys had any new tracks and I came across this one - now I've found another song to play the shit out of! Love your music, hopefully I'll catch you down in Melbourne sometime soon
