Neotokyo are a progressive hard rock band from Sydney, Australia. Since 2011, the band has been earning a loyal fan base playing with some of Sydney’s most respected progressive and alternative bands. [ P I L L A R S ] 2012 saw Neotokyo enlist producer Chris Sheldon (Gyroscope, Biffy Clyro, Oceansize) Lucius Borich (Cog, Floating Me), and Sydney's Electric Sun Studios to help craft their debut EP ‘Pillars’. "Our goal for the EP," says Neotokyo guitarist Adam Furness "was to document how we sound at this point in time whilst hinting at what the future holds. Aesthetically, we wanted those raw, aggressive moments to feel raw and aggressive, and to make the most of the studio setting whilst maintaining the integrity of how a four-piece rock band sounds." From the riffage of lead track 'Speak', to the ethereal ambience and vocal tones of 'Red', Neotokyo are proud to present ‘Pillars’. Pillars launches on October 20 at the Annandale Hotel, Sydney, with digital distribution dates to be announced.
